It’s March 27th in north central Florida and who would have expected a hard freeze? I have been covering and protecting plants and shrubs since Thanksgiving. I even made burlap covered for many of the larger shrubs and my olive trees. The olives still dropped all their leaves a month ago after a night of winds into the mid teens. The shrubs are alive but leaf-less. Now, I wake to find all my seeds that I patiently germinated are frost covered. My cheater plants bout at the nursery, too. I just realized that my hydrangeas are likely crispy and my strobilanthus also dead, AGAIN by frost.
